The secret to sticking with a health and fitness program is finding ways to keep you moving that you enjoy. Working out with a group can add extra energy and motivation to your routine. Meet people, improve your fitness level and have fun. With a variety of group classes across 4 community hubs and something for all fitness levels – you are sure to find your way to move! Classes are included with your membership and are open to participants 13 years of age and older.

Non-members are always welcome to attend fitness classes when paying the drop-in fee.

Class Descriptions

An intensive work out for the core. Expect some additional muscles and techniques to be incorporated into the routine to keep things fun, exciting, and manageable for all experience levels.

A fun and exuberant water workout inspired by Latin dance. Great for all skill (and coordination) levels, you will have the chance to get a low-level resistance workout on top of the usual cardio payoff. No swim experience required.

A flexibility-focused class that incorporates elements of yoga, Pilates, sports stretching, and strength training. The pace will be slower, the energy more relaxed, but the results will still be exceptional.

A circuit-training extravaganza with a cardio focus. Make your way through a series of stations designed to get your heart pumping. Equipment and body weight will be used to get you moving fast and hard.

This studio class will introduce you to interval training and how it can be used to improve both cardiovascular health and muscular strength & endurance. You will also have the chance to try out a variety of equipment to build your exercise repertoire.

This fast-paced, low-impact class uses moves and techniques from boxing and other martial arts to build coordination, power, and balance.

A classic spin cycle experience. With each of our instructors providing a unique energy and soundtrack to their rides, you will always be in for a good time!

A complete workout delivered in deep water.  With the aid of a floatation device, experience what it's like to exercise without gravity weighing you down.  Great for those who want to challenge their heart rate and muscle strength & endurance in a low-impact experience. No swim experience required.

Workout alongside your child in this circuit-based class that will get the whole family moving! Stations focus on various body weight and cardio exercises and are suitable for all ages and abilities. 

Flow Yoga is a vigorous form of yoga, which synchronizes breathing, movement, and music. A stylized form of Vinyasa yoga, this practice uses a graceful and uninterrupted stream of asanas (postures) to stretch, strengthen, and cultivate focused awareness. Throughout the series, Ujjayi breathing is practiced helping to create a meditative state. This complete meditative workout teaches students to respect their own body’s needs as they explore their own capacity.

Low impact full body workout tailored to aging adults that want a slower pace class with focus on form and function. Participants are welcome to complete the workout seated - chairs provided.

Find your inner calm. Hatha Yoga is great for increasing your flexibility, relieving tension and allowing the body and mind to connect. This class is an introduction to basic breathing techniques, postures & relaxation exercises.

A variation on our popular Synrgy class.  Learn how to accommodate a variety of joint and mobility concerns in this strength training circuit workout.

This studio class is a full-body workout and tailored towards those looking for a more relaxed, modified approach to exercise. Participants have the option of using chairs for stability or support.

Sample a variety of equipment and movements in this circuit-based class.  Located in the studio, our instructors will guide you through numerous stations that will provide a challenging, yet modification-friendly, workout.

Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, non-judgmentally. We engage in a variety of relaxing mindfulness activities, light stretching and movement, meditation, and grounding practices. Mats and meditation pillows are provided.

In this strength-focused, full-body workout, the use of barbells not only builds muscle strength & endurance, but also addresses muscle imbalance and improves range of motion. The option of using dumbbells is also available.

A complete workout delivered in shallow water.  Great for those who want to reduce impact but still challenge their heart rate and muscle strength & endurance using the resistance of water in a variety of ways. No swim experience required.

The ultimate indoor cycling virtual experience using real-time performance data such as heart rate, speed, calories and more! 3D technology will immerse riders in a variety of interactive sceneries making each class different and unique! Available at the Elmwood-Kildonan Community Hub location only.

A full-body strength class with a focus on the legs. This studio class incorporates the use of the step to increase your heart rate, challenge your muscle performance, and improve your balance and agility.

A studio class focused on the overlapping relationship of flexibility and strength. Learn how to gain strength while optimizing range of motion.

Our instructor will guide you through a series of stretches for the whole body to leave you feeling limber and strong. 

A cardio and strength-based circuit workout designed to take advantage of a wide variety of functional training equipment and exercises. Perfect for those who like a varied workout experience. No two circuits will be the same!

A strength-focused studio class that will work your muscles from your head to your toes. If you want a weight-based workout that can be tailored to your level of experience – this is the class for you!

A functional training class that will build your strength and stability using the unique TRX suspension method. This class will also incorporate other training equipment and methods for an effective total-body workout.

Reduce stress and increase a sense of well-being in this Vinyasa class which emphasizes the development of strength, flexibility, balance and grace through postures linked by the synchronization of the breath with movement. Develop and root your core muscles through a variety of breath techniques designed to leave you feeling calm, relaxed and centered. A challenging class open to all levels.

Rest and restore. Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga with postures that are held for longer periods of time than in other styles. Meant to target the connective tissues of the body with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. As a result, the asanas (postures) are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement.
