Our Preschool Child Care Programs follow the YMCA Playing to Learn Curriculum. Children learn best through hands-on experiences that allow them to explore and be creative. We often become play partners who encourage active learning. Being a part of their play allows us to learn about each child and provide play experiences suited to them.
About the Preschool Early Learning Program
Designed for children 2 to 5 years of age
Through play, kids explore the indoors and outdoors, the arts (visual, dramatic and music), science, early math and literacy. By sharing their day with other kids and educators they build social and physical skills, and learn to solve problems.
- Small group ratio of 1:8, with a maximum group size of 16, to ensure children receive the continuous support they need all day long
- Staff use our Weemarkable app to share detailed recaps of each child’s day, including new developments made and milestones achieved
What is Weemarkable™?
The Weemarkable™ app means our families don't have to miss out on the small moments or big milestones of their child's day. Keep your mind at ease and share in the fun your child has throughout the day. It's an easy way for busy parents to get photos, childcare notices, educator notes, and menu information. You can even message the educators directly. Most importantly, when you can't be with them, it's Weemarkable how connected you'll be.
