Get ready for the Hoop Dreams Classic! Workplaces across the community will compete in a fun basketball tournament all in support of the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg Strong Kids Program —a great way to build team spirit, network, and support a meaningful cause. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just looking for fun, everyone is welcome!
Date: Thursday, May 7, 2026
Time: 9 AM – 5 PM (Lunch Provided)
Location: The Downtown Y - 301 Vaughan St.
After Party: 5 PM – 8 PM (Location TBD)
Hoop Dreams Classic is organized by Leadership Winnipeg in support of Y Youth and Community Programs.
Please note: This is a closed event for registered participants only.
Tournament Details:
- 4-on-4, half-court round-robin (playoffs will be full-court)
- Minimum 3 games per team
- 20-minute games, running time
- Experienced referees
- Prizes for Champion & Runner-Up
- Space & Wi-Fi available for remote work
Team Registration – $1,000
- one team of up to 8 players
- Lunch provided for all participants
- On-air mention during the Strong Kids Day Radiothon (May 27)
