Join our Elders to listen, learn, and connect through storytelling in a welcoming space that honours Indigenous culture and community. Open to members and the general public. Free to attend.

Attendees will receive a copy of the book 21 Things You May Not Know About the Indian Act by Robert P. C. Joseph.

  • September 8: West Portage Hub (Multipurpose room)- 12 pm

Kookum Story Hour 

Welcoming Children into Our Story

Starting September, our Elders (Kookums) will visit Y Winnipeg Child Care Preschool Centres to share traditional stories, cultural teachings and lived experiences through a child-centred lens.
