Our Newest Y
The West Portage YMCA-YWCA opened in September 2004 and has quickly become an active, vibrant hub in the St James and West Winnipeg area.

Family Friendly
The family-friendly facility hosts a wide variety of health, fitness and recreation programs for people of all ages and abilities, as well as day camps, youth leadership programs, teen nights and family activities.

The wheelchair-accessible branch provides pre-school and school age childcare, drop-in babysitting, personal fitness services and ample on-site parking.

Three Pools, A Climbing Wall and More
The 53,000-square-foot West Portage Y has an aquatics centre with three pools including a four-lane, 20-metre pool with a slide, water features and a variable depth moveable floor, a warmer family pool with zero-depth entry and water features, a 17-person whirlpool and a co-ed, 10-person steam room. It also has a large split gymnasium, two multi-purpose rooms, theatre studio, dance studio, fitness centre and three locker rooms.

Involved in the Community
Besides serving individual and family members with healthy-living programs and activities, the West Portage branch is partnering with families, schools, agencies and businesses within the community.
