Effective October 13: In addition to our current cleaning procedures, branches will also be using an EnvirNize ULV Fogger. This powerful, portable fogger is a common tool used to disinfect large commercial areas such as planes, automobiles, hospitals and more. The strong injection and ultra-low volume (ULV) spraying function ensure the penetration and diffusion of disinfectants to fine areas. It can spray forcefully and into hard to reach areas, so that all virus pathogens (germs!) are killed. The disinfectant is a non-toxic, all-natural solution and is both human and pet safe.

Branches will temporarily stop admittance (no member access) for 15-minute periods twice a day during the week and once on Saturday to allow our staff to sanitize, fog and clean high-touch areas.  Staff will continue with a strict cleaning regime throughout the day ensuring all high-touch areas and equipment are disinfected between uses.

Monday – Friday 11:00 am – 11:15 am

3:00 pm – 3:15 pm

Important information regarding Membership Fees

September 21st: Child membership fees automatically began again as of September 20, 2020. This allows you to register your kids for fall programs beginning on Monday, September 21. Your account becoming active means fees will again begin to be withdrawn from your account using the payment frequency and payment method we have on file for you. Notification of this charge was sent via email on September 11, 2020 to those with valid email addresses on file and will be shared via our Facebook account as well.

June 22nd: On March 16, 2020, we had automatically placed your membership on hold (so you would not be charged) because you could not access any of the Y’s Health, Fitness and Aquatics branches, due to the COVID  shutdown. At the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg, you are not restricted to any one branch – your membership includes access to all four of branches. As such, when we re-opened our West Portage branch to members on Monday, June 22, 2020,  payment schedules resumed as of this re-opening date.
