Healthy living is an important part of our mission – and we want to keep that mission alive despite our current circumstances. During these times of uncertainty, it is important now, more than ever, that we come together as a Y movement to remain connected to each other and foster a sense of community.
Our friends at the YMCA of Central Ohio have been kind enough to share their Stay Health-Y 600 Challenge with Y’s across North America – and we’re proud to offer it to you!
This FREE month-long fitness challenge combines the Y community with Y-approved workouts to help you stay active, connected and motivated outside of the Ys doors…and have a little fun and competition while doing so.
How it works:
Goal 600 Minutes
Cardio goals are based on the recommendation of at least 150 minutes of cardio/week.
Strength goals are based on the recommendation of 20-60 minutes per day, 2-3 days/week.
2) Workout – Choose to workout at home or outside. Anywhere that you workout counts towards your goal.
4) Have fun! For the YTRAAK Stay Health-Y 600 Challenge, Team Winnipeg will be matched up for some fun, community and competition. Winners of the match ups will be calculated and displayed in real-time in your profile and stats page. The team with the most points at the end of the challenge will get bragging rights!
