4-Week Training Series

The 4-Week Training Series will consist of small group sessions, led by our fitness trainers, who will provide participants with a variety of practical instruction and hands-on training geared to a specific type of workout routine.

Each 4-Week Training Series will focus on getting the most out of a variety of exercises that can be done in the fitness centre or at home, with or without equipment! And the best part? It’s included with your membership!

Here’s how it works:

  • Group size is limited to max. of 12 participants per series
  • Groups will meet twice a week for a total of 4 weeks
  • Each session will be 1-hour in length – start times vary by branch
  • Training will consist of a group workout where members will learn and practice a variety of exercises and techniques both with and without equipment
  • Each 4-week series will focus on a different body part and or workout
  • Sign up for one series or join us for all of them!

  • 4-Week Small Group Training Series
  • Full-Body Strength Training

    In the full-body strength training series participants will work out alongside a Y Winnipeg fitness trainer, using exercises to target designated muscle groups with the option of using equipment or body weight. New muscle groups will be added each week so that by the end of the 4-weeks, participants will be able to customize their own full-body workout routine.

  • Interval Training - Next Level

    Explore the unlimited combinations of exercises as well as the benefits and challenges of Interval Training for the experienced exerciser. This training series will not only address metabolic and fitness goals, but introduce unique approaches to exercise intensities and workout patterns using fundamental "Exertion & Recovery" principles.  Each week will have participants training in individual Cardio and Strength intervals as well as combined intervals.

  • Exploring TRX Training

    Perfect for beginners or individuals new to TRX training! This group training session will introduce TRX exercises and proper form as a full-body exercise experience.  Each class will be a workout experience that will introduce the TRX device as well as TRX-specific exercises that will progress throughout the 4-week training series.

    A great training session for those seeking alternative exercise challenges.

    November 1 - November 24, 2022


  • Indoor Cycling

    You just hop on and start pedaling right? Wrong! There is so much more to cycling as an exercise than simply pedaling.  This 4-week Training Series will explore all aspects of strength, power, and endurance training on a bike. It will teach you how to understand and use different intervals of speed, resistance and body position to maximize wattage. Understanding wattage when using a bike to train is the key to "unlocking" the difference between just riding a bike and achieving your goals. Learn how to get 100% effort into half the time. Ideal for both beginners and intermediate users.
