Help kids be heroes to other kids
Support the “Kids Helping Kids” fundraising walk
On June 1, more than 1,400 children from YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg child care centres across the city will be taking to the streets as part of our inaugural “Kids Helping Kids” fundraising walk. This grassroots campaign teaches kids the value of giving back by raising funds to help other children in the community access programs that make a positive impact in their lives.
Little kids, BIG heroes
Participating children will don capes and march a designated route around their child care centre’s neighbourhood and finish off with snacks and activities, all while supporting a worthy cause!
Event Date: June 1, 2017 (rain date: June 8)
Prizes: Ask your child care centre if they are offering incentive prizes.

A Positive Impact
Proceeds of the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg’s child care walk directly enable the YMCA-YWCA North Y Youth Centre to offer its services to children in need. A safe and welcoming place where kids can connect with one another, the North Y engages at-risk children and youth in positive activities that promote healthy living, foster social responsibility, and nurture potential. This wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of community members and donors like you.
