Early Childhood Educators

Hourly Rate:  Dependent upon experience

Placement Date: To be decided

Position Overview: As part of the childcare team, this position will report to the Director of Child Care and will be responsible for the development and delivery of programs and services for children age 2-5 years. Gym and swim are an important component of our programming and all ECE’s fully participate. The position will be spent in front line leadership and the delivery of quality care in building strong children, families and communities.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement programs designed to meet children’s social, physical, intellectual, cultural and emotional needs.
• Build children’s self esteem by establishing routines through positive guidance practices
• Establish and maintain good communication with families and community partners
• Deliver, model and coach service excellence
• As part of a co-operative team, coach and train new staff and students
• Ensure consistent application of Association policies, procedures, guidelines and standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Early Childhood Educator Level 2 or 3 Certificate
• OR Childcare Assistant Certificate (if applying for CCA position)
• Current First Aid and CPR
